Easter 2008

Easter 2008 Jackson celebrated his first Easter this year. On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs with the family. Jackson was honestly more interested in the table cloth more than the eggs. A couple of times he nearly pulled the table cloth off the table, which would have been a big mess. The funny thing is he would mostly grab it with his toes, wiggle it towards his fingers, then pull really hard. I think he has monkey toes. We then went and saw the Easter bunny at Willow Bend mall. Jackson was not impressed to say the least. The bunny didn't appear to be too much either. We were surprised to find the bunny wasn't a white bunny, but we think he was suppose to be the Velveteen Rabbit. On Easter morning we went to church, then after church Jackson got his Easter baskets from the Easter bunny and from Gigi (grandmother). Jackson seemed to like all of his goodies. That afternoon we went to my cousin's house in Allen, who had a big Easter dinner for us. The younger kids hunted eggs later that day. We let Jackson even find an egg. One with his name on it. I think that was just more for us than it was for him. Good photo opportunity. It was a great Easter spending time with family, but most of all because of the celebration of our risen Jesus Christ.
